Can a bliss be soo simple?
1. Surprised I've lasted as long as I have without being checked on neglecting the basics. Special thanks to all the women who noticed I didn't sufficiently relay compliments and opted to say nothing.
2. I'd tell you "I miss you" but I don't want to risk being ignored or worse yet, hearing some trite saying about moving on. My pride won't tolerate that.
3. By design, not desire, I'm suspending one of my vices. I'm sure this will include some period of adjustment that will last x weeks. Hopefully, not a soul will be able to tell the difference until long after I've established a new routine.
4. There was a week, some time ago, fell in love and forgot to do my laundry. The week that followed it was unnecessarily awkward for obvious reasons.
5. The older you are, the more effort it appears is involved in rebelling. This is how 20yr liberals become 30something conservatives with political amnesia.
6. For 20 yrs he wanted cable TV & she said no, not having it. She's been gone a month, he had Direct TV installed a week ago. He barely watches it.
7. There's a huge formality in the form of graduation exercises at the end of this semester. I'm not interested in attending at all. I also have a decent number of family & friends who will literally have throw a temper tantrum if I don't go. I haven't decided how I'm going to handle this yet. As much as I love them all, I've no desire to sit through 4hrs of boring, lifeless Black Catholic rituals in the interest of keeping people happy.
8. All this Ace of Spade I drink just to piss out / I mean I like the taste/ (but) could've saved myself 6 hrs - S. Carter << classic example of the means not justifying the ends.
9. According to Kant, it is immoral not to develop your innate talents. In light of this discovery, while I despise systems of morality, I intend to further refine whatever talents I'm currently letting lie dormant.
10. First, A Brave New Wor now 1984. This post modern British Literature course couldn't do more dismiss my attention.
