Paper Bags, not plastics

1. If an exchange is riddled with more stock replies than TD Waterhouse, chances are the deal has fallen through.

2. Whole Foods makes grocery acquisition exciting yet depressing. The layout is welcoming but, why wouldn't you want to spend $200/wk to feed one person?

3. Still don't understand how people were so-so about Michael Jackson before he died then became die hard fans post-mortem. If you were down with Mike, you were there for the good publicity as well as the questionable accusations. I'm not declaring his innocence or his guilt, just don't be a sunshine/bandwagon fan.

4. This Twilight phenomenon has gotten out of hand. I appreciate a good series as much as the next story lover but obsession is never the business. You don't go about neglecting reality & the people in your life for a TV series. That good people, is stupid.

5. As a kid I use to start off every summer by getting a new pair of sandals. Open toed shoes symbolic of the freedom that was mystically captured between June & August. I bought a new pair of flip flops last week, about a month after my summer began. Grant it, they haven't magically excused me from my adult responsibilities, it was nice to have a viable open toed footwear option again.

6. More is less, less is more but none is nada. Zero. Zip.

7. I don't have a favorite team in this years World Cup. I'm no Monday morning soccer fan either but why root for one when you can watch them determine who's the best?

8. Don't cold water another person's dreams even when you don't agree with them. Instead assure them you believe they will be successful & change the subject.

9. There are things that shouldn't be gleamed from your Facebook page by your good friends ("best friends" is an overused term void of any significance) and transmitted via phone tree.

10. Having Wednesday off is one of those pet peeves that you forget you have because the infrequency which it occurs. Until it happens again causing you to remember why it's so damn annoying.

11. Where is Beenie Man?? Girls Dem Suga ft Mya was off the chain!! I remember in high school if you could break down the patios, you were respected & looked at side ways. We didn't have any Jamaican students at my school. For all of it's cultural influences, New Orleans lacks tangible cultural diversity in it's public schools.

12. I'm all about fuel conversation, but there is no reason for a grown man wearing a suit to be riding a Vespa unless he's in Italy.

13. If you have no desire to actively be involved in the dirty work of parenting (doing homework, constructive discipline, emotional support etc) then employ condoms. There is nothing more annoying than cleaning up another person's mess.
