10 Arguments Destined to fail

In the interest of encouraging an engaging discussion on what the nature of the boundaries of a society are I've put together a brief list of arguments that beyond a shadow of a doubt, can not be won in my presence. Ladies & Gents, grab your legal pads and commence your deconstructions.


1. Any argument in defense of selling crack, heroin, meth, etc. Let's face it, there's no justification for having your hands in this sector of the black market. The jury is still out on guns, natural resources, & plasma TVs

2. On refusing to adhere to basic tenets of personal hygiene while working/existing in close contact with the majority of the population Clearly a pass is given to the homeless , whose life's circumstance prevent such personal upkeep from occurring. Hippies, Anarchists, jam banders etc have nooo excuse

3. The sale of children in impoverished countries to those rich enough to make charitable contributions, celebrity status optional

4. On being single handedly responsible for the lack of a particular item @ the buffet: Sharing is caring. Your presence @ the buffet alone signifies your agreement with this fundamental principle of humanity; don't counter it by eating ALL of the Teriyaki chicken skewers.

5. On not returning the first punch. The presence of law enforcement does not justify sacrificing your manhood. Let's face it, you've probably humiliated yourself significantly, so a last ditched effort at regaining your self respect wouldn't hurt in the least.

6. Visiting a foreign country with no understanding of the native language (i.e. Americans who travel abroad & demand inter/transactions to take place in English) Beyond the clear absence of any semblance of diplomatic concern, the lack of awareness displayed almost warrants a less than honest member of the local populace finding fortune in your possessions.

7. Wearing a sweater or other garment designed to retain body heat during June - September in any of the states who were members of the Confederacy south of S. Carolina. No explanation needed yet I see one idiot weekly with said garment"

8. Any entity that insists on denying the impact of Michael Jackson on international marketing. He's the only reason Pepsi still exists; think about it

9. PETA, there is no animal on this planet whose existence means more to me than that of another human being.

10. Let me know what argument(s) are just a no brainer in your book

1. I really wish I would have learned to enjoy the moment for what is a lot earlier on. I would've saved myself much confusion & disappointment. 2. To be critical or to be creative, that is the question. 3.
